The Lagrangian Scheme Is Still A Favorite For Modeling Pollutants In The Ocean

Several pieces of research on oil spills, the distribution of polluting pollutants, and the distribution of micro and macro waste by currents, to be more specific on micro/macro plastic transport patterns in the sea, are still the topics chosen by Marine Science students at Padjadjaran University, especially those with specialization in the field of Hydro-Oceanography.

Amarif Abimanyu, a student at Padjadjaran University, held a scientific discussion regarding the application of the Lagrangian scheme. Located at the Marine and Coastal Data Laboratory on Friday, February 28, 2020, a collaborative discussion was held between Dr. Budhi Gunadharma dan Dr. Widodo Pranowo. They will join the research activities of the Marine Research Center. During the discussion, a (teleconference) was held with Amarif’s supervisor, Dr.-cand. Noir Promadona Purba and Mega Laksmi Syamsuddin, Ph.D. It was agreed that several modelling scenarios would be carried out to test the application of the Lagrangian scheme in hydrodynamic simulations and transport of oil spills and spills in the sea.
