Admission

In addition to the SNMPTN and SBMPTN pathways, starting in 2019, Unpad will open a selection of undergraduate admissions through the independent pathway. The capacity of each lane is different from the quota in 2018. This year, the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education has set a minimum quota for SNMPTN of around 25%. While the minimum quota for the 2019 SBMPTN is around 40%, and the quota for independent lanes is a maximum of 30% of the total capacity. Unpad opens the selection of new students at the regular undergraduate level through the independent path or the Universitas Padjadjaran (SMUP) Entrance Selection route. Previously, SMUP was only open for selecting Applied Undergraduate programs, Undergraduate Study Programs outside the Main Campus, and Postgraduate programs.

Several study programs at Unpad have prepared additional exam materials. There are interviews, TOEFL tests, portfolios, Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI), and practical tests. “The independent path is provided as part of perfecting this test pattern,” said the Chancellor. In addition to regular Bachelor, this year’s independent pathway is also open for international classes in the Bachelor’s program. This international class will be opened at the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Both domestic and international students can attend this international class. There are some basic differences between the regular Bachelor’s program, such as the language of instruction in English, to the standard curriculum that exceeds the standard in the regular Bachelor’s. Overall, the presentation of the capacity allocation for regular undergraduates at UNPAD is at least 25% for SNMPTN, 50% for SBMPTN, and 25% for independent pathways. The Chancellor emphasized that the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) at Unpad will not increase.
