Visiting Lecturers

Visiting lecturers aim to increase Marine science student’s insight and knowledge each semester. The public lectures are always held by presenting competent speakers from within the country and abroad. Speakers who have given public lectures are the Deputy Ambassador of Ireland to Indonesia, Carol Staunton, and lecturer at the National Maritime College of Ireland, Cork Institute of Technology, Captain Sinéad Reen, Prof. Yoshihiro Ochiai Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan. The public lecture also presented Andrew Harvey, M.Sc., as the Executive Director of MantaWatch with the theme Introduction to Manta Rays as well as the Signing of the MoU between MantaWatch and the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Universitas Padjadjaran. Public lectures were also given by Professor Sei-Ichi Saitoh, Hokkaido University, Japan. Then also given by Dr. Pamela Pasetto of the Institut des Molécules et Matériaux du Mans Le Mans Université with the title The Genus Haslea, New Marine Resources for Blue Biotechnology and Aquaculture.
